We have spent the year sorting, grouping, counting, graphing, measuring and now our little ones just finished a unit on telling time. They now know the hour and minute hands and can tell time to the hours and some to the half hour.  They remind me every day that it is lunch and recess time! HA, they have grown up so.  Are your ready for this..... for the remaining of the year we will learn about addition and subtraction. For the past 2 weeks, we have put groups together to find out how many total we have. The class looks for things to add. We love it. We have learned that numbers can make sentences just like words and we have 2 new vocabulary words....plus and equals. Every morning in calendar time we make an addition sentence. They love it. This week we explore ....What is Subtraction? So, now we are taking away.  Mr. Q likes to ask a lot of questions and the big one this week is ....How many are left when I take away___?
