CLASS NEWS

Dear Parents,

        What a crazy week this has been!  The children had a test over the chapter on the weather and seasons in science.  They also had their first reading test over a story that we had read in class and you had read with them at home.  I was very pleased with the results!  Everyone made a “G”!!!  I explained to the children that there will be a test over every story that we read in this book.  We began our second story, “The Kite” today.  We will finish it next week and have a test over it.  We will also finish our math chapter and social studies chapters next week and have tests over them.  This is a busy time of the year in fitst grade!

        Next Tuesday, we will celebrate Valentine’s Day.  Please make sure your child remembers his/her valentines for his/her classmates, if he/she has not already brought them. 

         Next week will also be a 4 day week.  Friday, February 17th and Monday, February 20th is Winter Break for the children.  There will be no school or Escape those days.
