DevelopmentThe Fall of 2004 marked the 50th anniversary of Holy Rosary Academy! We are very proud that the Academy has been able to educate and guide students of the community for 50 years. We are further proud of HRA students who have exemplified HONOR, RESPONSIBILITY and ACHIEVEMENT during the past50 years. Just as in 1954, the Academy strives to provide the opportunities for learning and growth that will continue to serve our students well. Revenue from tuition does not always cover the cost of special programs and extra activities at Holy Rosary Academy. The HRA+ Annual Giving Campaign is one of the ways the community can help the Academy continue in its effort to provide a quality educational experience for its students.
Among the programs subsidized by HRA+ are technology, art and music classes, and the artistic enhancement program. Thanks to its many supporters and friends throughout the years, HRA has been able to provide the children of the community with a superior education while instilling in them Christian values and morals. The past few years HRA+ has enabled our school to purchase laptop computers for the Library Media Center and completely upgrade our computer lab.
Listed below are the opportunities available to help Holy Rosary Academy continue to fulfill its mission to the community and its students:
Holy Rosary Academy welcomes community support, and we encourage you to consider supporting our school through our annual fundraisers. HRA has a poinsettia sale every fall (October - November), where lovely plants for the holidays may be purchased at competitive prices for the benefit of the Academy. Also in the fall, the Academy hosts its annual Fall Festival and Silent Auction. This year's event was held in October at the South Nashville Knights of Columbus clubhouse located at 2300 Knights of Columbus Boulevard in Donelson. The Fall Festival was a wonderful success! The Adopt-A-Spot program at HRA has proven to be both popular and successful! The Holy Rosary grounds were recognized in 2003 by the Metro Beautification and Environment Commission for providing an attractive landscape to the area. Such recognition was made possible by the many friends and families of Holy Rosary who have donated their time, talent and resources to show their HRA pride!
