3L News for January 5 – 9, 2008:

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a restful Christmas break, filled with fun and lots of family time. The kids came back with many stories, and lots of good gifts were given, WOW! Thanks again to all the generous, thoughtful, and precious Christmas gifts you gave to me! I had to make two trips to the car just to carry them all! J

This morning was very busy! We spent the first part of the day going over the new card system I am going to use for behavior. The class and I talked about things had just gotten very relaxed before the holidays, and we really need to focus and do our best. The card chart is to help the students and I know where they are at and encourage good behavior. I feel many will benefit from this visual aid.

Here’s a look at what’s going on:

• Wednesday, Jan. 7 – Awards day!
• Friday, Jan. 16 – Early dismissal
• Monday, Jan. 20 – Martin Luther King Day – no school!
• Wednesday, Jan. 21 – Home & School meeting 7 pm
• Jan. 26 – 30 – Catholic Schools Week

 **Don’t forget to sign math folders as well as poems that come home on Mondays! This counts for a homework grade.
