3L's ProceduresRules and Consequences |
|
|
ProceduresEach child is expected to come to school prepared and ready to learn. As the students enter the room, they are to unpack all belongings and check the center chart to see where they will start their day. We have a variety of centers in the morning that have activities that support what we are learning. Some of our centers include: Math, Social Studies, Science, Writing, Phonics, Library, Computers, Art, and Games. The students rotate to a different center each day, and have Fridays as a "free choice" day. Students follow the school-wide policy of "silent hallways" and bathrooms. Our motto for our learning time is "Work time is quiet time," in order to insure that all students can concentrate. |

Consequences
** If your child goes past the 10 minutes out at recess, you will hear from me. To coincide with each consequence, each child has a pocket with 5 colored cards displayed in the classroom. For good behavior, the student shows the green card. If they misbehave, they "pull a card." These colors match the consequences: Green - good behavior Yellow - 5 minutes out Orange - 10 minutes out Blue - silent lunch Red - demerit This visual aid helps the student see where they are at, creates a visual deterent, and encourages them to stay on green. Positive Reinforcements:
Scholar Dollars to buy individual prizes as well as class treats.
