Dear Parents,

How wonderful to have your child at a Catholic school where children can express their faith and pray.  It is my personal goal to offer my students many opportunities to share and express their faith.  We will emphasize the importance of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  What an amazing sacrament that draws us closer to God through His Merciful Grace and prepares us to receive Him in Holy Communion!

Attached you will find words of inspiration by Mother Teresa from her book, Words to Love By.  The importance of family prayer is stated so beautifully here.  We have an extremely important job to do with our children in passing on our faith.  This doesn’t happen at once but with time and much prayer.  I will encourage your child to pray as a family and in private.  HRA will recite the Rosary one Friday afternoon of each month during SSR.  We will take turns leading decades of the Rosary, and they will be excited to lead these prayers at home during your family prayer time.
