Classroom Discipline Policy
Student Responsibilities
- Attending class on time
- Being prepared for class (bring covered textbook, pencil, notebook, & folders)
- Completing all assigned homework and classwork
- Taking notes
- Solving problems and showing all work
- Asking questions
- Reading the textbook
- Asking for help
- Cooperating with fellow classmates
- Maintaining self-control
All 6th graders are to follow the rules outlined in the HRA Handbook. In Math class, we have some additional rules.
Classroom Rules
- Follow directions the first time given.
- Raise your hand for permission to speak without any class disruption.
- Use proper language.
- Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Respect all students, the property of others, and school property.
Consequences
Warnings- written or verbal to the student and/or parent
- Written assignment- Ways to improve one’s behavior
- Phone call home/ Demerits
- Sent to the principal’s office.
