Second Grade Projects

There are many opportunities in 2nd grade for the children to learn and live service to others.  In the past we have collected and sent items to our soldiers in Iraq, we have collected and nicely packaged items for our Holy Rosary Room in the Inn guests, and we have written and sent Valentines and letters to the Sisters of Mercy and our friends at the Catholic Charities nursing facility.

One of our favorite service projects is colecting gently used toys, books, etc.  (things we are willing to give up) for the children and families at the Ronald McDonald house right here in Nashville. 

The biggest service project we do would have to be our annual Bake and Craft Sale we have here at HRA.  With the help from our parents we bring in wonderful things to sell to the staff and students of HRA.  Last year we raised over $600.00 dollars to give to the Ronald McDonald House.   Your 2nd graders will work VERY hard but absolutely have a great time to help others.
