www.familyeducation.com - The learning Network. This site offers family education issues, as well as,allows you to register for a kindergarten newsletter.  It gives ideas to help your child be successful during their first year of school.

www.scholastic.com/families/index.asp - Kindergarten Parent and Child - A web site hosted by scholastic that gives parents and their kindergarten child activities to do online that enhance skills taught at school.

Special Tips - Please remember how special and important is it to read to and with your child each day.  Listening to a story and following along helps your child recognize and read new words by sight.  This is so important for the beginning reader.  Also, there are a lot of beginning reader and chapter books out there.  This is a great way to spark an interest and love in your child for reading.  There is not a more special gift.
