6W Religion Classes

I am very excited to be teaching religion at Holy Rosary.  I have been teaching religion to middle schoolers for more than 20 years.  I encourage them to ask questions.  I expect this class to be a little different from regular classes but at the same time I do expect them to complete assignments on time.

I will be giving out progress reports at the same time as the rest of the middle school teachers.

Grades:

30% Homework- If turned in on time they will receive a 100%.  One day late it will be graded and 10 points taken off from there.  If they are late with homework they need to find/remind me.  I only see them 3 days a week.  I have a box by my door that they may leave homework for me.  One day late refers to real school days not necessarily the next class day (that could be as much as 3 days late).

70% Tests - They will have some opportunities for extra credit on some tests.

Homework includes vocabulary, work sheets, workbook pages, leading the class prayer, and learning prayers.

Tests include Quizzes, Unit tests, and special projects (some or most projects will count as 2 tests grades because they require more work and they will be given several weeks to work on them)

7th and 8th Grade religion classes
