Math is 4 Girls Day!

St. Cecilia Academy hosted their 4th annual “Math is 4 Girls” Day which gives middle school girls who excel in math a chance to participate in a day of hands-on activities and competition in the field of mathematics. It was held on October 19 with 14 middle schools represented. Our Holy Rosary Academy girls placed 2nd out of 14 teams. The team members are: Rowynn Farriss (8th), Anelise Rentuza (8th), Isabella Tiamson (8th), Caitlyn Auberson (7th), Addison Griffith (7th), Reagan Robinson (7th), Marie Gbadebo (6th), and Alyssa Willard (6th). The students are scored in team and individual competitions. Out of 112 girls, our three 8th grade girls placed in the top 10 of the individual competition which allowed them to compete in the Lightning Rod Competition. Overall, Anelise Rentuza placed 3rd among all of the 8th grade girls. Marie Gbadebo placed 2nd among all of the 6th grade girls. The Holy Rosary Community is very proud of our math team and their success.
